Raymond was first elected Democratic Committeeman in 2012. He made history by becoming the first openly gay Latino elected to office in Illinois. In Cook County's Primary Elections, Raymond has been instrumental in electing common-sense Democrats with solid values to help working families.

Raymond was re-elected as Democratic Committeeman in 2016 and 2020 and is now running for his fourth term.
